Products manufactured at the Police plant have passed the tests and are available for sale. As planned, the Company's product portfolio is being expanded until it reaches the target production of more than 30 types of Gryfilen® polypropylene, including homopolymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers. The introduction of new product types is taking place gradually, according to a planned schedule, as positive product validation is achieved, both on the production side and processing validation at customers' sites.
Grupa Azoty S.A., Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne Police S.A., Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A. and Port Morski Police Sp. z o.o., as the initiators of the West Pomeranian Hydrogen Valley, are collaborating on activities focused on establishing and developing a hydrogen economy, particularly in the Province of Szczecin. The signatories are committed to creating favourable conditions for businesses involved in advancing a hydrogen economy and hydrogen-supported energy optimisation in the region. As part of the West Pomeranian Hydrogen Valley project, the unique Hydrogen Academy project has been established as a joint venture between the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin and Grupa Azoty Police.
Grupa Azoty S.A. has received state aid under the ‘Aid to energy-intensive industries related to natural gas and electricity prices in 2023’ programme administered by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The amount of the financial support granted to Grupa Azoty S.A. is PLN 12m, with compensation for the Grupa Azoty Group companies totalling PLN 173m.
Under the agreement, the parties have agreed upon additional terms and conditions for the provision of financing by the financial institutions to support the implementation of the Polimery Police project. The agreement is related to the existing agreement for the financing of the project and will remain in effect until February 28th 2024.
The Supervisory Board of Company announces the commencement of the qualification proceedure for members of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A. with its seat in Police, at Kuźnicka 1.
On November 24th 2023 , Andrzej Niewiński resigned from his role as a member and President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A.Mr Niewiński has been involved with the Company since 2016, holding the position of President of its Management Board. Personal reasons were cited as the reason for the resignation.
