Another edition of Grupa Azoty’s customer lottery has been launched, with prizes including a John Deere 5075E tractor. Over the past five years more than 1,200 prizes have already been distributed to winning farmers, including five agricultural tractors as grand prizes.
Given a stabilisation of natural gas prices on the European market seen in January, despite strong year-on-year increases in the prices of other fertilizer production inputs, including electricity, coal, phosphate rock and potassium chloride, the Grupa Azoty Group has decided to lower its prices of fertilizer products with effect from February 1st 2023.
On Thursday, December 22nd, the Guadalupe Explorer gas tanker delivered the first 22,000 tonnes of propane, which will be loaded into propane tanks of the Offshore Gas Terminal built as part of the Polimery Police investment project, to be then used to start up the propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene production units. The delivery is being made under a USD 250m propane purchase agreement with Trafigura PTE Ltd. The agreement satisfies more than 50% of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins’ demand for propane in 2023-2024.
Ten applications have been selected for PLN 20,000 grants and twenty-three applications – for PLN 7,500 grants in the first edition of the Grupa Azoty START programme. Financial support of over PLN 370,000 in total will go to 33 entities in six provinces.
Grupa Azoty ZAK’s Research and Development Centre has officially launched its operations in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The project worth PLN 39m will significantly enhance the research and development capabilities of the company and the entire Grupa Azoty Group. The opening of the Research and Development Centre is an important part of the Grupa Azoty Group’s strategy that aims to provide high-quality new and improved products and preserve a long-term competitive advantage. EU funding was obtained for the project.
Grupa Azoty S.A., Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne Police, Grupa Azoty Polyolefins and the Police Seaport were among the signatories of a letter of intent to build the West Pomeranian Hydrogen Valley. The companies expressed their intent to forge a partnership and take steps to build and advance a hydrogen economy, with a particular focus on the Province of Szczecin. This marks another initiative supporting the development of a hydrogen economy the Grupa Azoty Group has engaged in as one of the leading fertilizer and chemical companies in Europe and the largest hydrogen producer in Poland.
