Marked increase in Grupa Azoty revenue and profits in Q1 2019
In Q1 2019, Grupa Azoty reported consolidated revenue of PLN 3,365m, i.e. PLN 868m more than in the corresponding period of 2018. Growth in the prices of most products and the continuing reversal of the price trend for the key feedstock (gas) pushed up EBITDA to PLN 608m (yoy increase of PLN 205m) and EBITDA margin to 18.1% (up 2.0 p.p. year on year).

Grupa Azoty S.A. and Grupa Azoty Police named ‘Transparent Company 2018’
Two companies of the Grupa Azoty Group, Grupa Azoty S.A. and Grupa Azoty Police, have earned the prestigious title of ‘Transparent Company 2018’ in the third edition of a ranking run by the Parkiet daily and the Institute of Accountancy and Taxes, with the support of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

On May 11th 2019, PDH Polska S.A., a company owned by Grupa Azoty and Grupa Azoty Police, signed a contract for turnkey execution of the Polimery Police project with Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd, marking a milestone in what is the largest chemical project in years.

Hyundai Engineering and KIND to invest in the Polimery Police project
Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd and Korean Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) are set to invest over PLN 500m in PDH Polska S.A., the company responsible for implementing the Polimery Police project.

Grupa Azoty Police gains access to low-cadmium phosphate rock
Grupa Azoty Police has signed a contract that gives it access to low-cadmium phosphate rock deposits until 2021. On February 5th 2019, in Switzerland, a trilateral contract was signed between Grupa Azoty Police as the buyer, Ameropa AG as the seller, and Somiva SA as the producer. The Polish company was represented by Wojciech Wardacki and Włodzimierz Zasadzki, President and Vice-President of the Grupa Azoty Police Management Board.
