Between the late hours of Monday and early hours of Tuesday, a 96-metre-tall propane-propylene splitter was safely transported to the construction site of the Polimery Police plant. The logistic operation was successfully completed after almost four hours, marking the achievement of a key project milestone.
The Grupa Azoty Group is launching the Fosfarm product line – modern and environmentally-friendly NPK fertilizers providing an ample and efficient source of soil nutrients. The new line developed by the Grupa Azoty Group’s Gdańsk-based company is another step taken by the Group towards achieving the goals of the European Green Deal.
The Polimery Police project has entered a key construction phase as regular deliveries of large equipment needed to start up the project units commenced on January 17th. One such piece of equipment is a tank that will store propylene obtained through propane dehydrogenation. Preparations are also under way to receive the largest appliance, which is a propane-propylene splitter with a total weight of over 890 tonnes.
The grand prize is a John Deere 5058E tractor, and in addition every day participants can win up to four prizes of PLN 1,000 each.
Further to rumours circulated by one of the trade unions as to alleged plans to dissolve leading Companies of the Grupa Azoty Group, i.e. Grupa Azoty Puławy, Grupa Azoty Police and Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn, we firmly deny that the newly adopted Strategy of the Grupa Azoty Group includes any dissolution plans regarding those companies or any resulting staff lay-off plans. We regard such rumours as harmful fake news and we urge everyone to refrain from spreading them. Doing so could trigger unrest at the Companies concerned and cause unnecessary anxiety among our staff.
With the use of AgroCares scanners, Grupa Azoty representatives are now able to perform quick soil testing for farmers across Poland. Based on positive experiences gathered in the pilot phase, all Company representatives working with farmers across the country will be equipped with soil scanners starting this year. Grupa Azoty CEO Tomasz Hinc handed over soil scanners to Field Representatives during an official ceremony held at the Fertilizer Trade Centre in Tarnów on January 21st.
