Grupa Azoty strengthens partnership with New Chemical Syntheses Institute of Puławy
On the initiative of Przemysław Czarnek, Governor of the Lublin Province, the Grupa Azoty Group, Poland’s leading chemical group, and the New Chemical Syntheses Institute of Puławy (INS), a renowned Polish research centre, have signed a letter of intent on close and regular cooperation. Group-wide coordination of R&D activities combined with new multidisciplinary projects will improve the Group’s chances of launching innovative solutions on an industrial scale. Fully unlocking the research potential of the Institute, a well-established research centre with over 50 years of presence in the Lublin Province, will also spur further development of the region and the Polish chemical industry at large.

Grupa Azoty secures new long-term finance from EIB
On January 25th 2018, Grupa Azoty signed a long-term loan agreement with the European Investment Bank for up to EUR 145m, which will help it fund major capital investment projects and R&D activities.

Police Polymers. New licence agreement signed
On Thursday January 11th, at the headquarters of PDH Polska S.A., the following parties: PDH Polska S.A. and WR. Grace & Co, exchanged duly executed counterparts of an agreement on purchase of a polypropylene process technology licence and supply of polypropylene catalysts for the Polimery Police project. The agreement marks another important milestone in the implementation of Grupa Azoty’s largest investment project to date.

Grupa Azoty Police resolves its business issues in Africa
On December 20th 2017, Grupa Azoty Police concluded with DGG ECO Sp. z o.o. a conditional agreement (settlement) which, once finalised, will confirm the withdrawal from the agreement made in 2013 to purchase the Senegalese company African Investment Group S.A. (AFRIG) and will enable Grupa Azoty Police to recover USD 28,850,000.00 paid towards the purchase price of AFRIG shares.

Azoty Group selects technology licence for Police Polymers project
The Management Board of PDH Polska S.A. has recommended, and the Supervisory Board has approved, a polypropylene process technology licence for the Police Polymers project. The winning bid was made by Grace Technologies, Inc., a W.R. Grace & Co.-Conn subsidiary. With the Management Board’s and the Supervisory Board’s approvals secured, the decision still requires approval from the Extraordinary General Meeting of PDH Polska S.A.

Grupa Azoty for the 11th time in the RESPECT Index
Grupa Azoty S.A. has been present in the elite group of socially responsible companies listed in the Respect Index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange continuously from the very beginning of the project. The eleventh edition of the Index was announced at the WSE on December 14th 2017. Currently, the index includes 28 companies, of which three are listed in it for the first time.
