Over the past six months, the Grupa Azoty Brand Ambassadors have been making a remarkable impact, delivering presentations at high schools and universities, orchestrating chemistry competitions for youth and promoting career opportunities within the chemical industry on various social media platforms. A summary of their endeavours, carried out under the theme of ‘Grupa Azoty as an Employer of Choice’, was recently held at the Group’s headquarters in Warsaw.
In the 6th edition of Grupa Azoty's 'We care for the Polish land' lottery, participants won prizes worth a combined total of over PLN 500 thousand. The standout prize, a John Deere 5075E tractor, was awarded for the first time to a woman, Anna from the Province of Kraków. This year witnessed yet another rise in lottery entries, with the 6th edition receiving 20% more entries than in 2022.
The Product Stewardship Programme audit is an initiative by Fertilizers Europe, an organisation representing the largest European fertiliser producers. The audit reaffirmed that the Grupa Azoty Group’s fertiliser products comply with the highest standards. DNV auditors evaluated various parameters throughout the process, such as the benchmarks implemented during product design, technological processes, distribution, and the genuine fulfilment of fertiliser characteristics declared by the Group. The audit covered the main production facilities located in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Police, Puławy, and Tarnów.
Grupa Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne Police S.A., Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation (USNC) of the US and South Korea’s Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd (HEC) today signed a Preliminary Agreement on cooperation in the development of nuclear power in Poland, including Micro-Modular Reactor (MMR) technology.
Ter Hell Plastic GmbH will be the distributor of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins’s polypropylene product, Gryfilen® across the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), and Central and Eastern European markets (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria). In March 2023, Ter Hell Plastic GmbH was also named as the distributor for Gryfilen® in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
Polymery Police, one of the largest projects in the European chemical industry, begins to manufacture polypropylene under the Gryfilen® brand. The new plant of the Grupa Azoty Group will produce 437,000 tonnes of polypropylene and 429,000 tonnes of propylene annually. Sale of the Gryfilen® polypropylene in the European market will start in August 2023. The Polimery Police project’s budget is over PLN 7.2 billion.
