New Vice President of Grupa Azoty Management Board

At its meeting on December 4th 2020, the Supervisory Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. resolved to appoint  Filip Grzegorczyk as Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A., with effect from December 15th 2020.

Filip Grzegorczyk has many years’ experience in senior and executive management roles at large corporations. He gained his professional experience working for industrial companies and holding companies in the energy, fuels and public sectors.

From November 2016 to July 2020, he was President of the Management Board of TAURON Polska Energia S.A. In 2015 and 2016, he was Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Treasury and a Member of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers.

In 2014, he served as Corporate Affairs Director at Przedsiębiorstwo Obrotu Energią i Paliwami EGW sp. z.o.o. (currently Węglokoks Energia sp. z.o.o.). In 2011–2013, he was Management Board Representative for Energy Development at Kompania Węglowa S.A. In 2007–2008, he was Vice President of the Management Board for Corporate Group Management at TAURON Polska Energia S.A. In 2006–2007, he was Advisor to the Minister of State Treasury.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, where he also received his doctoral degree in European Union Law and his habilitation in Commercial Law. He completed the Summer Advanced Course in European Law programme at the University of London, King’s College, Centre of European Law; International Business and Trade Summer School Catholic University of America programme, Columbus School of Law and École de droit français Université d’Orléans.

He also holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from École de management de Normandie / AESE Business School / Cracow University of Economics (2018).

Since 2002 he has been a professor at the Regulatory Policies Department, Institute of Public Policies and Administration, College of Public Administration and Economy at the Cracow University of Economics.

He is fluent in English and French.
