The company increased its potential and improved its competitive position. During the year of disadvantageous conditions in the outside surroundings the Company increased the operation scale carried out in the group. Year 2012 was the period of the crucial changes in the group both in terms of business – the changeable tendencies of the market – as well as organization. The Company decided on the defensive activities concerning the attempt of the hostile takeover and of the acquisition activities connected with the public tender offer for shares in ZA Puławy.

The chemical sector of the independent Poland  was born in Tarnów in 1927. It was the moment when the history made a full circle. Today the Polish chemistry is born in Tarnów again. This time aware of its own strength. Grupa Azoty is the combination of everything which in this particular sector we were able to do best. Now we feel safe. Now we are ready to cross the boundaries – said Jerzy Marciniak, the Chairman of the Board, during the press conference today. 

Looking at Grupa Azoty taking the results into account, the increase in the revenues from the sales is visible, the increase by 33% annually. It gives the potential for the good EBITDA result and net result in the future.
