At the end of 2021, we had reached 83% of the project's advancement

In 2021, we achieved 83.23% material progress in the project. The majority of devices and apparatuses are already on the construction site. Thus, we are almost approaching the end of the supply phase.

- The year 2021 was full of challenges for the project, into which we entered with the project implementation progress at the level of 38%, and we finished it exceeding the level of 83%. The particular progress of construction works has already reached the level of 70%. It is a great success that makes us satisfied - says Andrzej Niewiński, Phd, President of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins.

In order to achieve such a significant material progress of the Project, they key was the effective implementation of the procurement and delivery process of devices and apparatuses (Long Lead Items). By the end of 2021, 95% of key equipment had been delivered.

Finally the PDH subproject was equipped with propylene tanks, distillation columns, reactors, compressors, continuous catalyst regeneration module, post-reaction gas compressor. Last year, on the PP sub-project, was completed the assembly of  blending silos or two PP reactors, which will be used for the production of homopolymers and copolymers. In addition, the assembly of 60 polypropylene storage silos has also been completed.

On the Handling and Storage Terminal subproject, all tanks, i.e. two propane tanks and one ethylene tank, have been roofed. Works related to the assembly of the inner shells of the tanks are currently being finalized. In addition, the construction of the pumping station, transformer room and main terminal building is continued.

In are of the hydrotechnical works, an approach to the terminal quay was completed (a section of the Police Channel was deepened to a depth of 12.5 m), and the construction of a quay and a transshipment platform is ready.
