Responsible Care Program

Responsible Care is a movement initiated in 1984 in Canada, aiming at taking actions of the chemical industry all over the world to protect the environment. Also Poland has in 1992 joined the circle of several countries that acceded to this programme.

The leading principles of this programme have been adopted, according to which companies of the chemical industry are called to improve all aspects of their activities related to the protection of health, safety and environment.

Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA joined the RC programme in 1996 with taking its obligation to successively reduce noxiousness to the environment and to improve the safety of people. The joining was another accent of pro-ecological actions of the company, and - at the same time - assuming by Police an aware responsibility for the condition of the environment on completely voluntary basis, not forced by standards and legal regulations.

It has already become a tradition that at the beginning of each year a declaration of implementation of further pro-ecological actions is presented, for implementation of which Police is obliged as the executor of the Responsible Care programme.

In 1999, Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA was granted a certificate of the RC Programme Chapter that has confirmed achievements of the company in the scope of ecology. An audit carried out again in 2000 confirmed involvement and actions of our company for reduction of noxiousness for the environment.
